The goal of this study is to identify potential water
storage locations that might be suitable for contributing to in-stream flows
in the critical reach of the Big Hole River. Alternatives to water
storage that would accomplish the same results (e.g. restoring wetlands,
reintroducing beavers to tributary headwaters, irrigation management) are
also being examined.
The Water Storage and the Water Management
Alternatives Study is complete. The report is a two volume document with a
common introduction. The results of the study may be downloaded for review
