Riparian Restoration
| |
|
Fluvial Arctic grayling
recovery plans and the TMDL assessment process have identified riparian
management as a limiting factor for temperature, habitat and the grayling.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, the Big Hole Watershed Committee and the
United States Fish and Wildlife Service are working with landowners to implement
riparian restoration and management projects including fencing and planting
efforts along the Big Hole and key tributaries.
Riparian planting and fencing projects are currently being
conducted on Steel Creek and the North Fork of the Big Hole River. |
